Mary Signorelli has been a member of Columbia High School All Sports Club for over 15 years, and helped establish many of the programs we know and love today. Mary launched the Columbia HS Athletic Hall of Fame, where she manages the annual award nominations and event. She also started Columbia Athletic Departments Adopt-A-Family and Adopt-A-Senior Holiday program, as well as CHS’s Unified Sports teams, comprised of students who have many levels of abilities as well as special needs. Recently, Mary has gathered giant teams to run the Teal Ribbon Race to fight cancer.
Mary manages multiple programs because of her great organizational skills, creative abilities, and positive outlook. And, she has never stopped cooking pasta dinners for the All-Sports Clubs, selling 50-50 raffles, mentoring students and volunteering for the Genet and Green Meadow Student Running Clubs
Mary also built the Columbia HS Athletics Facebook page, which has 3200 members. Mary single-handedly posts the time and location of every sports events as well as all updates and posts.
Mary’s commitment to athletics goes beyond our school, and beyond the norm. She is internationally recognized for her completion of 50 marathons in 50 states with her daughter, Stephanie, an alumna of CHS.
When she is not running marathons, Mary is the co-owner and president of Innovative Claims Investigator – a private investigation company in East Greenbush, which she has owned for over 20 years. East Greenbush Education Foundation celebrates Mary Signorelli and her positive influence on hundreds of students and families in the East Greenbush Central School District and our community.
