Mr. Scot Salvador currently serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Banking Officer of the Trustco Bank in Glenville, New York. He has served in this capacity since 1995. His responsibilities have included oversight of the bank’s branch network, residential and commercial lending, marketing and its trust departments. He has been a key participant in providing oversight to a major bank expansion that, since 2002, has increased Trustco’s branch network from fifty-five to one hundred and thirty-three branches. This expansion is inclusive of five states, including multiple branches in Florida. Prior to his appointment at Trustco, Mr. Salvador shared his expertise in the financial banking industry with Fleet Bank and Albany Savings Bank respectively. After graduation from Columbia in 1984, where he distinguished himself both academically and athletically, he matriculated at Siena College where he graduated in 1988 with a B.S. in Finance. He continued his academic career at SUNY-Albany, where as part of a full academic scholarship, he graduated with an MBA in 1990.
Mr. Salvador’s outstanding achievement in the business finance world has not interfered with his commitment to the community in which he resides. This involvement is demonstrated by his memberships on the Board of Directors of Community Hospice and Albany Medical Center’s Investment Committee. He has also found the time and energy to serve on the Board’s of Food Pantries of the Capital District and the Wildwood Program’s Fund Raising Committee. Mr. Salvador is the devoted husband to wife Carol, and the doting father of his children, Stephanie and Michael. Mr. Salvador is a classic example of the very best role model which Columbia High School has historically sent out to the world.
The East Greenbush School District proudly applauds and recognizes one of its own this evening as it inducts Mr. Scot Salvador into the Columbia High School Hall of Fame, where he joins his sister Dr. Susan Salvador Class of 1978.
