Steven Taylor graduated from Columbia High Schoolin 1988, as a third generation alumni.Taylor was active in Key Club as a member of the Columbia Student body, and has continued to be active in Columbia High School class reunions. Boston University was the college of choice for Taylor, where he continued his student government and volunteerism career. He was President of the Class of 1992 and graduated in 1992 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. He was awardedone of 22 prestigious Scarlet Key Awards as part of aclass of 3,500 students.
Taylor was employed by the American Heart Association from 1994-2003, progressing from the Director of Corporate Relations to the Vice President of Corporate Relations stationed in the Greater Washington Region. During his career at the American Heart Association, Mr. Taylor was the youngest Executive Director in the Northeastern Affiliate history. Taylor currently serves as the CEO of theSjogren’s SyndromeFoundation, and has worked to raise awareness of the disease. In addition to handling the demanding schedule of a CEO, Taylor is married to Colleen Taylor, and the father of Jack, Owen, and Austin. Taylor serves as the PTA President for his twin son’s elementary school located in Sterling, Virginia.
